DroneBase, Inc. arrives in Europe and acquires Inspection2

The HLaw M&A team were referred in to US-based UAV company, DroneBase, Inc looking to acquire Inspection2, a UK-based company that specialises in automating industrial inspections through AI technology.

DroneBase (which is itself backed by various household name investors) is an aerial management platform for high-value infrastructure. The platform partners with worldwide enterprise clients in order to deliver aerial imagery, data, processing, and reporting solutions.

Dan Burton, CEO and Founder of DroneBase, told Globe Newswire that “with Inspection2, we can now inspect the entire renewable energy site from asset to grid … this acquisition enables us to immediately offer expanded services to our wind and solar clients while expanding to serve the telecom industry globally.”

As is often the case, everything had to be done on an accelerated timeline and HLaw had to get up to speed and get the deal across the line quick smart.
