Broadband by Brillband backed by Fuel Ventures
HLaw client and seed to series A VC fund, Fuel Ventures, led a £660,000 seed fundraising for what they say is the ‘world’s first’ app-based full-fibre broadband provider, Brillband.
Originating in Glasgow, the creators of Brillband believe its pioneering technology will transform the broadband industry by allowing users to run their entire broadband service from their mobile phone or tablet.
They aim to launch Brillband in July 2022 and say that users will be able to use the app to optimise for usage depending on whether that is gaming, streaming, working from home, or volume downloading etc, repeating they hope the success of some of the UK challenger banks in allowing consumers to do more with their data via their phones.
Alexander Breeden of Fuel Ventures told us for the purposes of writing this release, “We were pleased to have again received HLaw’s expert help with our latest investment into Brillband. Thank you to Henry and the team for demonstrating your customary dedication and attention to detail.”
