HLaw supports launch of EIS and IHT-focused venture capital funds

We advised on the structuring and preparation of investor materials in connection with the launch of two UK venture capital investment funds, one for EIS qualifying investors and one for investors seeking to benefit from inheritance tax reliefs.  Both funds are designed to be investing into media and film ventures of various kinds.

The engagement covered legal input into the presentation of the investment opportunity and fund structure, as well as support on the documentation and governance processes required to bring the funds to market and present materials to a UK authorised fund operator.

This mandate reflects our ongoing work with sponsors, investment managers and founders on the legal aspects of fundraising, including early-stage structuring, investor documentation and execution.
