Amy Cunningham – employment law specialist – joins the Hlaw team

HLaw is delighted to announce that Amy Cunningham has joined the team as a Senior Consultant specialising in the full spectrum of employment law and HR issues.

Amy will be principally supporting our Transactional team on the employment side of management buy-outs and mergers & acquisitions.  Where we advise on deals with aspects involving jurisdictions other than the UK, Amy will work with and manage local lawyers from our best friend network and in-house teams in those jurisdictions to present a joined-up presentation of the employment risks and issues.

Amy has spent more than a decade working for a major City firm and then also for a European investment bank.  HLaw is excited to be able to now offer that experience and expertise to its clients.

Henry Humphreys, Managing Partner, said: “I know Amy to be a first-class lawyer with a blue-chip CV.  On larger deals and projects where there are employment risks and issues to consider, sometimes on a cross-jurisdictional basis, it is hugely important that the advice provided properly weighs the risks taking into context the relative proportion of those risks to the wider transaction.  Amy’s level of experience and background means that she is able to cut through to the key points and then also work with in-house teams to create efficiencies of cost.  We are pleased to have her coming on board and look forward to working together on many deals in the future.”

Amy said: “I’m very excited to be joining HLaw and to be able to provide the specialist employment law advice that will assist the team in continuing to offer a fantastic mid-market alternative to the elite City firms. Henry has built an extremely compelling offering, and I and delighted to become a part of it”.
