Nick Westoll joins HLaw to add further bench-strength to the Transactional team

HLaw is thrilled to announce the arrival of Nick Westoll as a Senior Associate supporting our Transactional team.

Nick trained and qualified in the corporate team at Travers Smith where he was involved in a broad range of high-value and cross-jurisdictional private M&A transactions as well as takeovers and IPOs (involving companies listed or listing on the Main Market as well as AIM and other exchanges).

In 2017, Nick went in-house at the NASDAQ listed Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc, a global leader in pharmacy, health and wellbeing retail with one of the largest pharmaceutical distribution networks in the world.  Whilst with WBA, Nick advised and supported parts of the business and in-house legal teams spread across multiple jurisdictions on a range of corporate and commercial legal issues.

Henry Humphreys commented: “Nick joins the HLaw team at an exciting time in the UK legal market: long-established law firms have never been under greater pressure to prove that they possess deep specialisms that provide value for money.  At HLaw we are firmly focussed on supporting PE and VC-backed companies in the tech and media space, and the funds investing in those companies; and having Nick on board gives the team greater strength in depth to keep offering a credible mid-market alternative to the elite City competition.  We are excited to have someone of Nick’s calibre and blue-chip track record joining the team.”

Nick Westoll said: “I am very excited to join the team at such an exciting time in the HLaw journey and look forward to getting involved with the many projects already underway and working with HLaw’s impressive range of clients going forward. I am particularly excited to have the opportunity to pursue interests in the bio/med tech space as well as working on other exciting opportunities in the venture tech world.”
